The Mamta Banerjee-led party – Trinamool Congress professes that the Congress party has failed the country by “benefitting BJP”. TMC has hit out at the Congress for the mass withdrawal of leaders on a day when several big names are expected to join the TMC in Goa.
“Lot of development will take place in Goa in coming days and Congress now breaks the silence. Where was the party for so many days? why have you allowed BJP to stay in peace? This will not happen anymore. Why are you attacking TMC? You have failed the entire country, is TMC responsible for that? Your leaders are getting frustrated and they are joining TMC. Is TMC responsible for that people are no more interested in your leadership. Is TMC responsible for that? You are failing in every state, is TMC responsible? TMC wants a strong platform to oppose BJP. “, these questions on the blow hot, blow cold relationship between TMC and Congress were raised in TMC’s “Jago Bangla” mouthpiece.
Banerjee went to Delhi and met the Gandhi family after Bengal poll results leading talks of opposition unity. However, Sushmita Dev was made to join Congress and in Goa, TMC hit a close aide to Ex Goa CM Luizinho Falerio.
TMC had made it clear that the TMC is ready to be a principal alternative to the BJP and would not refrain from sparing anyone who proves to be a hindrance in their fight, including Congress.
