Raj Kundra, the husband of actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who was arrested over the allegations of shooting and streaming pornography, has been granted bail by the Mumbai court. He has been requested to pay ₹ 50,000 as surety charges for his delivery. The bail got granted two months after his arrest.
Last Thursday, his team requested bail, demanding that the investigation is over and the charge sheet has been filed. His bail request also claimed that he was being made a “scapegoat” and there was no solid evidence in the charge sheet which can prove that he was actively involved in shooting the obscene content and streaming it through mobile apps.
Kundra was arrested on July 19, his charge sheet claimed that he was the “main facilitator” along with other accused and they exploited young women struggling in the film industry. The charge sheet alleged that pornographic videos were posted on various websites and apps and the videos were sold through subscriptions.
The charge sheet also includes statements of 43 witnesses, including Shilpa Shetty, who has been listed as a witness. The police have included her statement that says she was not aware of her husband’s activities because she was busy with her work.
