Gujarat continued to witness a decline in the number of fresh Covid 19 cases, with 1,274 fresh Covid cases and 13 virus-related fatalities on Sunday evening. With today’s update, the state’s active Covid tally stands at 14,211 while the cumulative death figures since the start of the pandemic have reached 10,808 the state health ministry daily bulletin stated.
While the cases continue to be on the decline in the state, as many as seven lesser deaths were recorded today as compared to yesterday’s tally of 20. Most of these deaths (4) were recorded by the Vadodra Municipal Corporation, the daily health bulletin stated.
Yet again, Ahmedabad remained the biggest contributor with 405 Covid cases and three deaths, closely followed by Vadodara Corporation with 257 cases and four deaths and Vadodara rural with 79 cases. Other major contributors include Surat rural with 48 cases and two deaths, Kheda with 41 cases and zero deaths, Rajkot with 35 cases and one death.
Gandhinagar Corporation, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar had one death each in the last 24 hours. The state had 1,274 Covid cases and 13 deaths yesterday.
