In a little relief from the daily caseload of Covid-19, Ahmedabad on Thursday reported a total of 182 fresh Covid cases taking the active case tally of the city to 971 in the last 24 hours. The city reported the highest and almost a near-half number of total new covid-19 cases in Gujarat.
According to the statement released by the Department of Health and Family Welfare of Gujarat, the state reported a total of 416 fresh Covid-19 cases. This addition took the active caseload of Covid-19 to 1,927 cases in the state in the last 24 hours.
Apart from Ahmedabad, other major cities of Gujarat too reported a significant count of Covid-19 cases on Thursday. Surat city reported as many as 56 cases followed by Vadodara city with 40, Surat district with 34, Rajkot city with 15, Bhavanagar with 13, Valsad with 12 and Gandhinagar with 11 new cases in last 24 hours with around seven districts remaining Covid free, the statement stated.
The state witnessed discharges of a total number of 230 Covid-19 patients with no deaths in the last 24 hours, the statement further read.
