Cruise Drug Case: Apart From Aryan Khan 13 Other People Get Bail

The drugs-on-cruise case which earned tremendous buzz due to the alleged involvement of Shah Rukh’s son Aryan Khan has been finally granted bail after multiple rejections of bail plea applications by the Bombay High Court (HC) on October 28.  

As Aryan reached home, Mannat fans cheered on October 30. However, his was not the only application that was accepted by the Bombay HC. Accused in the same case, actor Arbaaz Merchant and model Munmun Dhamecha also walked out of the jail.

In the same case, almost 14 individuals have been granted bail while six others which including two Nigerian nationals are still in jail.

The case has gone through multiple twists and turns with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede indulging in allegations and counter-allegations against each other.

Malik alleged that Wankhade is extorting money from Aryan and framed more than 20 people in a fake drug case. Mumbai Police has commenced an investigation and Wankhade was interrogated for a few hours by the NCB deputy director general (DDG) Gyaneshwar Singh on October 27.

The investigation still continues in the case, even though Aryan has received bail, the Bombay HC has mandated some conditions on the 23-year-old.

14 people who got bail in the Mumbai cruise ship drugs’ case

1. Aryan Khan

On Saturday at around 11 am, Aryan left Mumbai’s Arthur Road prison in the wake of going through over 20 days in jail. He was accompanied out by his dad’s security group, who likewise took him back home. Prominently, on October 29, Bollywood actor Juhi Chawla, arrived at the Special NDPS court and marked a ₹1 lakh bond for Aryan. Aryan’s counsel Satish Manishinde had named Chawla as his client’s guarantee, which the court acknowledged. “We are We are all happy it is over,” Chawla told reporters.

2. Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha

Aryan’s friends, Arbaaz and Munmun were likewise were granted bail on October 28. 3. Achit Kumar

4. Avik Sahu and Manish Rajgaria

7. Nupur Satija and Gomit Chopra

As per the NCB claims, both of them were found on the cruise with MDMA (ecstasy) pills. Like Chadha, Satija is also a resident of the national capital while Chopra is a makeup artist.
