Deepak Nitrite Ltd on Wednesday informed the Bombay stock exchange that the fire caused damage to warehouse, offices, some utilities and part of the manufacturing facility of Sodium Nitrite that were facing the warehouse but barring that all the other manufacturing facilities including other two streams of Sodium Nitrite are unaffected and in safe conditions.
The company further added that ,stability studies and other assessments are simultaneously being conducted to reassure safe operations.
Important to note here that the Gujarat government had issued a closure notice to Deepak Nitrite Limited (DNL), a manufacturer of chemical intermediates on Tuesday following a fire and series of explosions at the company’s plant in the Nandesari industrial estate in Vadodara.
