The Election Commission of India (ECI) will announce the Delhi Assembly election results on Saturday. The polling took place in a single phase on Wednesday with more than 15 million eligible voters casting their ballots to determine the fate of various candidates.
A total of 699 candidates contested across 70 Assembly constituencies, comprising 603 male and 96 female contenders.
Vote counting will commence at 8 am along with the initial result trends expected to start at the same time. The final results will likely be announced by 6 pm. However, the updates will be provided throughout the day.
The Election Commission will provide real-time vote counting updates on its official websites, eci.gov.in and results.eci.gov.in.

Key Candidates of Delhi Assembly Elections 2025:
- New Delhi Constituency: Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal (AAP) is up against Parvesh Verma (BJP) and Sandeep Dikshit (Congress).
- Kalkaji Constituency: Atishi (AAP) faces Alka Lamba (Congress) and Ramesh Bidhuri (BJP).
- Jangpura Constituency: Manish Sisodia (AAP) competes with Tarvinder Singh Marwah (BJP) and Farhad Suri (Congress).
- Shakur Basti Constituency: Satyendar Jain (AAP) challenges Karnail Singh (BJP).
To ensure smooth voting, the Election Commission had set up 13,766 polling stations across Delhi.
Exit polls suggest that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has a strong chance of regaining power in Delhi after nearly 27 years. Some projections point to a tight race with the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) while Congress is expected to remain a minor contender.
A party needs 36 seats to form a majority in the 70-member Delhi Assembly. The BJP, which last governed Delhi in 1998 is projected to win between 35 and 49 seats while AAP is expected to secure between 21 and 37 seats. The Congress, once dominant in Delhi politics, is likely to win up to three seats.
