The seizure of drugs in Gujarat has not halted yet. Two days ago, Gujarat ATS nabbed three accused with 120 kg of drugs from Dwarka and today again arrested three persons have been seized with 24 kg container of drugs.
Pakistan’s heroin cartel is trying to smuggle large quantities of drugs through Saurashtra. Today, ATS raided the house of Anwar alias Anu Patelia, a resident of Navdra village in Jamkalyanpur, Dwarka and found 24 kg of heroin in his possession. Its market value is estimated to be around Rs 120 crore.
Further investigations into the 120 kg heroin case recently seized by the Gujarat ATS from Zinjuda in Morbi come across shocking details. Police arrested three more accused from Rajasthan and Jodia and seized 24 kg more heroin. It may be mentioned that while the three accused arrested earlier in the Jhunjhuda case are on 12-day police remand, it has also come to light that the drug syndicate is operating from Pakistan.
Interrogation of Mukhtar Hussain alias Jabbar, one of the three accused arrested by the Gujarat ATS, revealed that the drug consignment was sent to Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Punjab. While the Gujarat ATS team was also keeping an eye on Rajasthan, Iqbal alias Dando Bhangaria also delivered 12 kg of heroin to the notorious drug mafia Bhola shooter from Rajasthan.
Bhola Shooter, a notorious drug dealer from Rajasthan, was about to send his two accomplices Ankit Zankhard and Arvind Yadav to get the drugs when they were snatched from near Sirohi in Rajasthan. The entire racket was managed by his accomplices as Bholo Shooter is currently lodged in Faridkot Jail.
Bholo Shooter is a native of Faridkot, Punjab who serving his sentence in jail for being involved in various crimes including robbery, murder and ransom in several states including Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. However, police strongly suspect that he was operating a drug racket from inside the jail. Police believe that the entire racket is currently being run by both his accomplices Ankit Zankhard and Arvind Yadav. Police estimate that all these people are also associated with the Bishnoi gang.
