FICCI Guj Holds Interactive Session With Senior Govt Officials To Decode New IT and Biotechnology Policy

An interactive session was organized by the Gujarat State Council of FICCI on “Decoding the New IT / ITES (Information Technology) & Biotechnology Policy 2022 – 27” in Ahmedabad.

The session was chaired by Vijay Nehra, IAS, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat. FICCI Gujarat Holds Interactive Session With Vijay Nehra And Other Senior Officials To Decode New IT and Biotechnology Policy

More than 100 members of the FICCI from IT and Biotechnology sector participated in the interactive event. Vijay Nehra, along with senior officials from Gujarat Informatics Limited and Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, presented numerous aspects of the recently released Gujarat State IT-ITeS Policy 2022 – 27 and Gujarat State Biotechnology Policy 2022 – 27. 

Various incentives of IT / ITES (Information Technology) Policy were discussed at the session which included CAPEX support upto 25% or maximum Rs 50 crore for projects having Gross Fixed Capital Investment (GFCI) of upto Rs 250 crore and OPEX support of upto 15% or maximum Rs 20 crore per annum for five years. And  GFCI of over Rs 250 crore, CAPEX support of 25% or upto Rs 200 crore and an OPEX support of 15% or upto Rs 40 crore per annum for five years were some of the incentives discussed at the session. 

Discussion on Biotechnology Policy 2022 – 27 included CAPEX support of 25% or upto Rs 40 crores for Bio Technology units with GFCI of less than Rs 200 crores and the OPEX support for five years which covers 15 percent or Rs 5 crores per year and incentives for Mega  projects with a capital investment of over Rs 200 crore.
