FIR Against MS Dhoni Over Bounced Cheque Worth Rs30 Lakh

| Updated: June 1, 2022 14:15

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, former Captain of the Indian cricket team, has landed himself in a bit of a puddle. DS Enterprises chairman Neeraj Kumar Nirala has filed a case against Dhoni and seven others in regards to a cheque that bounced. The case has been registered with Bihar’s Begusarai court.

Nirala has said that DS Enterprises said that in 2021 it entered into an agreement with Neuglobal Upajvardhak India Limited and ordered fertilizer products with the payment of Rs36.86 lakh. He said that the product was delivered but Neuglobal refused to cooperate with the marketing as agreed in the deal. Considering, DS Enterprises has struggled to sell fertilisers, especially due to lack of promotion from Neuglobal.

This dispute led to series of discussions between the two companies. Finally Neuglobal took back the entire lot of fertilizer and gave a cheque of Rs30 lakh. However, Nirala said that the issued cheque bounced and so he has filed a complaint against all the concerned people.

Following his retirement, MS Dhoni became a stakeholder in Neuglobal and is involved in the marketing and promotion of the products. Hence, DS Enterprises has also named Dhoni in the complaint.

Neuglobal Chief Executive Officer Rajesh Arya and Marketing Chief Arpit Dubey are among those named in the FIR.
