Ajay Patel, father of former Indian cricketer, Parthiv Patel passed away on Sunday. Parthiv Patel took to Twitter to share the news. His former teammates and many other cricketers also expressed their condolences on social media.
Parthiv wrote, “It is with the deepest grief and sadness, we inform the passing away of my father Mr. Ajaybhai Bipinchandra Patel. He left for his heavenly abode on 26th September 2021. We request you to keep him in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace…”
In 2019, when Parthiv Patel was playing for RCB in IPL, his father suffered a brain haemorrhage and was also admitted to the ICU. Always worried for his father, Parthiv’s professional life too was very disturbed. Parthiv, after an IPL match in 2019, said that he was going to the dressing room after the match when he saw his phone and prayed that no bad news would come from the hospital. He spoke about his father’s condition before the start of the 2019 IPL. His father passed on Sunday following a prolonged illness.
