The German Ambassador and his team of delegates are on a visit to Gujarat.
Linder visited Surat metro officials, Hari Krishna Diamond Exports at Ichchapore, Amul plant at Anand, Statue of Unity and Governor.
Walter J Lindner, the German Ambassador to India and Bhutan and his team of delegates took a ride on the Ro-Ro ferry service from the Adani Port at Hazira to reach Ghogha in Bhavnagar on Friday. Stephen Koch (Minister and head of Economic and Global Affairs) accompanied the ambassador.
Savji Dholakia, the owner of Hari Krishna diamonds at Surat said that the ambassador visited all the departments and also talked to the people working in the factory.
RS Sodhi, managing director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), stated that the ambassador interacted with both male and female milk producers of Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. He also expressed his happiness on the empowered women milk producers.
Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) officials informed that the ambassador visited the casting, the new tunnel boring machines and he was briefed about the entire project.
Chetan Contractor, who runs Ro-Ro ferry services, said that the ambassador was very enthusiastic about getting the information about how the ferry services run and the transportation of trucks, cars and people from Surat to Ghogha.
