Electronic Voting Machines and polling staff were dispatched to 10 talukas of Kutch district on Saturday, December 18, in preparation for the forthcoming gram panchayat elections. Around 361 gram panchayats will go to polls on Sunday, December 19 for 344 sarpanch and 2,125 member seats.
There are 285 sensitive and 24 highly sensitive polling stations out of 903 polling stations in Kutch; over 2,800 police officers and personnel have been deputed to supervise the same.
