A 22 year old identified as Siddharth Khandeka has set himself on fire in Morbi, Gujarat on Wednesday. The man reportedly died by suicide after being upset for not earning enough money for Diwali celebrations. Reports suggest that he set himself on fire after returning home. He worked as a mechanic and lived in the Bhatia society of the area.
Khandeka’s father works in a toll plaza. After learning that his son had set himself on fire, the family members tried to douse it and took him to the Rajkot Civil hospital. He suffered severe injuries and succumbed to them during treatment.
