Three more suspects have been arrested by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in connection with a drug case worth Rs 280 crore. The three people were apprehended in Delhi. During a joint operation by the Gujarat ATS and the Indian Coast Guard on April 26, a Pakistani yacht named Al-Haj was seized.

Nine Pakistanis were apprehended in possession of narcotics worth Rs 280 crore. The boat was captured at the port of Jakhau. They were brought before a Bhuj court and handed a 10-day remand. So far, the Gujarat ATS has been successful in locating the drug cartel.

Last week, the Pakistani boat AL Noman, which was captured by the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Gujarat ATS, threw gunny bags into the water. Border Security Force (BSF) and Marine Police found them in Gujarat’s Jakhau.

To avoid getting caught with drugs in Indian maritime borders, the Pakistani crew threw the shipment of roughly 50 kg of drugs near the creek area in the Kutch district of Gujarat on May 30.
