Aadhaar Operator’s Double Life Exposed: Two Wives, One Man, And Drama In Kathlal

| Updated: September 16, 2025 14:46

In an episode that could put daily soaps to shame, a government office turned into the stage for a family drama fuelled by Aadhaar updates and emotional scams. A 35-year-old contractual Aadhaar operator posted at the Kathlal mamlatdar’s office is now in the limelight. Not for efficiency, but for allegedly managing a two-wife situation with the smoothness of a seasoned Bollywood villain.
According to a report, the drama hit its climax when both wives, living unsuspectingly in Nadiad, discovered each other through a random phone call. Until then, they had no clue about their shared husband. One tied the knot in 2023, and the other followed in 2025, with both believing they were the one and only.
The second wife, aged 33, finally approached Kathlal police on Sunday to file a complaint, fully backed by the first wife, who has now been listed as a witness. In her statement, the complainant said that she first met the accused at the mamlatdar’s office in 2023 while updating her Aadhaar details. From official paperwork to unofficial house visits, things took a strange twist.
She informed the police that they got married in 2024 through customary rituals and had been living together since. The fairy tale, however, began to crack this Raksha Bandhan, when she tried calling him and got no response. Remembering an old number he had once called her from, she dialled it, only to be greeted by another woman who claimed to be his wife.
Initially thinking it was a joke, she said she confronted the woman. But the woman didn’t budge from her claim. As the conversation went deeper, the pieces began to fit. Apparently, the man’s Aadhaar romance formula had a repeat mode. The first wife too had met him while updating her address and name in her Aadhaar card.
Not one to back down easily, the man made an offer that would make even TV serial villains blush. When both women confronted him, he suggested they all live together. According to the complaint, he told them he was happy to cohabitate with both, but neither woman had any plans of becoming part of his personal joint venture.
What followed was even murkier, the report added. Allegedly, the man and his brother began threatening the women after the proposal was rejected.
Kathlal police have now registered a case under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) that deal with marrying again while a spouse is still alive. The Aadhaar office may soon need a new operator—but this time, maybe with fewer “customary” connections.
