Ahmedabad has been witnessing a steady increase in applications for gender change. As many as 25 people received approval from Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad in the last two years.
Reportedly, Ahmedabad has received the highest number of applications for gender change in the last two years. While 34 applications have been approved from 2018 to 2021. After the hospital conducted all checks for the transgender, the procedure of gender reassignment was then discussed with their family members.
