The Gujarat Anti-Terror Squad (ATS), in collaboration with the local police, carried out a search operation in the western area of Godhra town on Wednesday and apprehended three suspects.
During interrogation at the Godhra SP office, the apprehended individuals disclosed that they had recently returned from a 25-day stay in Pakistan.
The three suspects—Miyas Usmani, Abdul Usmani and Mohammad Hanif—were taken to Ahmedabad for further inquiry after about five hours of interrogation.
In 2023, Abdul and Miyas Usmani, two brothers, visited their family in Pakistan. India’s intelligence services were suspicious of their extended stay after they were there for 25 days.
These three suspects’ passports have also been confiscated by the ATS, according to information obtained.
