Surat: Gujarat BJP President, CR Paatil, addressed a gathering at Vibrant Weavers Expo 2022 in Surat, on Friday. During the event, he asked the people to stay cautious of people offering freebies. However, Paatil did not mention any names and hit out at Arvind Kejriwal and AAP. He said, “One man is going around Gujarat promising to provide free water.”
According to CR Paatil, the municipal corporation provides water for ₹460 per annum, s approximately ₹1 for any household. No other corporation in the country provides treated water at such a low cost. Thus, no one can allure the people of Gujarat with free water.
Further, Paatil added, “The water is so clean that when he (Kejriwal) comes to Gujarat, even his face glows up.” He said, “Once, the Maharashtra government announced they would provide electricity at ₹1 Navapur. Many entrepreneurs bought land and planted machinery but did not receive electricity.”
“Similarly, this brother is guaranteeing free electricity. But his promises are like Chinese products. If you trust him, you will get stuck,” CR Paatil.
Talking a hit on Kejriwal again, CR Paatil said, “He also promises to give ten lakh jobs to the youth of Gujarat. To which I say, ‘Vachanam Kim Daridratam.’ It means that no one becomes poor by merely giving promises.” He applauded Gujarat for providing the most numbers of jobs, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. CR Paatil stated, “During the pandemic, people went to their home states. But Gujaratis did not come back. Because they already had jobs in their home state.”
