Gujarat BJP State Executive Meeting At Surendranagar

| Updated: January 22, 2023 20:08

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat will hold its two-day State Executive meeting at Surendranagar on 23-24 January to discuss and approve resolutions which passed recently concluded national executive meeting as well as to finalise the future strategies.

The focus of the State executive meeting will be to convey the message derived from the national executive meeting to the State executive members. The meeting will also focus on preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections that are going to be held in the first half of the next year. The party has been winning all 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat in the last two elections. The BJP State president CR Paatil wants to repeat the 26-seat victory in the State with an even better performance.

State President thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of BJP-ruled states, national-level leaders as well as the people of Gujarat and party workers, including 81 lakh “page committee members”, for the victory in the state. He added that “Modi magic worked because of the love, trust and expectations shown by the people and his capacity to fulfil those expectations. Many tried to lure people on the basis of ‘guarantee cards’ but voters showed wisdom so that no hindrance is created in the path of development of the state and the country.”

The party would set many new records in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, according to the state president, who also stated that preparations for the Lok Sabha elections in Gujarat, took place the very next day after the State assembly elections. He also stated that 11 candidates won with a margin of more than one lakh votes, 51 won with margins in the range of 50,000 to one lakh, 66 with victories in 40,000-50000 range.

In addition to analysing the Gujarat election results, Paatil shared the party’s success statistics, which he had previously shared in a presentation at the party’s national executive meeting in Delhi. He also mentioned that 81 lakh page committee members, the booth-level workers who were given charge of 2.01 crore votes, managed to ensure the BJP won 1.68 crore, or 83 per cent, of these votes.

This is the first such meeting being held after the Gujarat assembly elections 2022. Over 650 leaders of the BJP from across Gujarat are going to participate in this State executive meet.
