Aam Aadmi Party has released its eleventh list of candidates for the Gujarat Assembly elections. In this list, twelve candidates have been announced. So far, the Aam Aadmi Party has revealed the names of 151 candidates. Malviya and Alpesh Kathiria have been handed tickets by the AAP.

In the eleventh list, Aam Aadmi Party has announced the names of candidates from Gandhidham, Danta, Palanpur, Kankrej, Radhanpur, Modasa, Rajkot East, Rajkot West, Kutiana, Botad, Allpad, Varachha Road.

Alpesh Kathiria has been given a ticket from Varachha and Dharmik Malaviya has been allotted a ticket from Olpad. Apart from this, BT Maheshwari from Gandhidham, MK Bombadia from Danta, Ramesh Nabhani from Palanpuran, Mukesh Thakkar from Kankrej, Lalji Thakor from Radhanpur, Rajendrasingh Parmar from Modasa, Rahul Bhuwa from Rajkot East, Dinesh Joshi from Rajkot West, Bhimabhai Makwana from Kutiana, Umesh Makwana from Botad have got tickets.

However, Alpesh Kathiria and Dharmik Malviya have been big faces of the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) and close to Hardik Patel.

The PAAS  had a significant impact on the 2017 elections. The BJP won across South Gujarat, including Surat, but in the municipal elections, AAP’s success played a huge role in Surat’s Saurashtra-dominated area, where AAP received 27 seats out of 28 in 7 wards. Patidar leader Alpesh Kathiria, who just joined the Aam Aadmi Party, has been handed a ticket from the Varachha Road constituency.

Earlier, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced that Isudan Gadhvi will be the chief ministerial candidate from the party in the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections. CM candidate Isudan Gadhvi has worked as a TV journalist and editor. Isudan Gadhvi got 73 percent votes in a survey conducted by the party, after which he was declared the CM candidate and he  joined the Aam Aadmi Party on 14 June 2021.
