Ahead of Assembly elections in Gujarat , after quitting the Congress, MLA Harshad Ribadiya has joined the BJP. Pradeepsinh Vaghela has welcomed the BJP by wearing a turban. The MLA from Visavadar seat has resigned today. This is the same farmer leader who brought a plough in the assembly, the MLA always raised the issues of the farmers. The resignation of Congress MLA from Visavadar, Harshad Ribadiya, has come to a standstill in Gujarat politics. For a few days, he was seen singing garba with the BJP leader.
Ribadiya, who is a Patidar leader, was elected from a Patidar-dominated seat in 2017. After the Patidar protest, Patels had voted against the BJP in the 2017 elections. It should be noted that With Ribadiya’s resignation, Congress’s strength in the 182-member Gujarat assembly has come down to 62. The ruling BJP has 111 members in the assembly.
Harshad Ribadiya made the statement after resigning from the post of MLA and congress. “I have not betrayed the Congress, the Congress has become a directionless party, the Congress is breaking down in Rajasthan as well, along with the MLA’s post, I am also resigning from the Congress. I will announce the decision further by asking the people of the constituency.
