A young girl, Angel Sakhra, fell into an open borewell in Ran village, Kalyanpur taluka, Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon while she was playing in her family’s front yard. Angel is currently trapped at a depth of around 30 feet.
The local fire brigade initiated a rescue operation, with a team from the health department pumping oxygen into the borewell. Top officials, including the district collector Ashok Sharma, sub-divisional magistrate Hitesh Bhagora, and taluka development officer GA Parmar, are supervising the rescue efforts.
The girl’s cries are still audible, indicating she is alive. To aid in the rescue operation, a team from the Indian Army is en route to the village. The situation is being closely monitored and efforts are being made to ensure Angel’s safe recovery.
