In one of the initial decisions taken by the newly sworn-in BJP government of Bhupendra Patel, Rs 417 crore has been earmarked for disbursement to farmers over the next 100 days in the form of interest relief on loans.
The information was shared by the BJP spokesperson and Health Minister Rushikesh Patel while briefing the media on decisions taken during the state cabinet meeting.
Aimed as helping 1.7 lakh farmers of 16 districts, who faced crop losses because of excessive rainfall in the monsoon this year, Rs 113 crore has already been disbursed as compensation
The Government has also decided to set up a single point facilitation desk to assist micro, small and medium enterprises to get approval for various proposals.
In line with the BJP poll manifesto, the tallest statue of Lord Krishna is planned at Dwarka where foundation stone for Phase-1 of the Devbhumi Dwarka corridor will be laid by Janmashtami next year.
