AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal is on a one-day Gujarat visit on August 16, Tuesday. During his visit ahead of the Assembly elections, the Delhi CM will attend town hall meeting at Bhuj, Kutch district. Moreover, this is Kejriwal’s fourth visit to Gujarat in just one month. However, the Assembly elections are due in December 2022.
On Monday, Manoj Sorathiya, AAP Gujarat General Secretary, said, “Kejriwal will address a press conference and a meeting in Bhuj. He will make some noteworthy announcements for the people of the state. He will also hold a meeting with party leaders regarding the impending polls.”
On August 1, Kejriwal gave a speech to a sizable crowd at Veraval in the Gir Somnath district and performed prayers at a Rajkot temple. In addition, he stated that if the AAP were to take control of the BJP-ruled state of Gujarat, they would create ten lakh jobs in five years. He also promised Rs 3,000 as an unemployment benefit.
He travelled to Jamnagar and Bodeli in the Chhota Udepur district, which is predominately tribal, on August 6 and 7.
He had said that, in addition to concessions for the business community, his party would execute the Panchayat (Extension to Scheduled Areas) Act to protect the tribal people in Gujarat. Kejriwal visited Ahmedabad on August 10 and pledged $1,000 in assistance.
