The Gujarat Legislative Assembly witnessed the swearing-in of five newly elected members today. The ceremony was headed by the Speaker of the Assembly, Shankarbhai Chaudhary.
The new members, who won the 2024 by-elections, took their oaths in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel and other members of the state cabinet.
The newly inducted members include Dr. C.J. Chavda from the 26-Vijapur assembly constituency, Arjunbhai Modhwadia from the 83-Porbandar assembly constituency, Arvindbhai Ladani from the 85-Manavadar assembly constituency, Chiragkumar Patel from the 108-Khambhat assembly constituency and Dharmendrasinh Vaghela from the 136-Vaghodia assembly constituency.
The Chief Minister and the state cabinet congratulated the newly appointed members.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his third consecutive term by revealing the key portfolios assigned to ministers, following their swearing-in ceremony and the first Cabinet meeting on June 10.
