Gujarat logged a total of 351 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Monday. Out of total positive cases in the state in the past 24 hours, around 45 per cent of total positive cases were reported in Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad, with 155 new cases, was followed by Surat city with a total of 71 new cases, Vadodara city with 30 fresh cases, Gandhinagar city with 16, Valsad with 11 and Navsari along with Jamnagar reported nine each case, among other districts on Monday.

With this, according to the Department of Health and Family Welfare of Gujarat, the active case tally in the state reached 2,566 on Monday. The highest of this caseload, around 45 per cent, is active in Ahmedabad with 1,449 active cases in the city.

According to the statement released by the health department of Gujarat, the state had administered the first Covid-19 vaccination dose to 4,195 and the second dose to 12,553 people in past 24 hours.
