Gujarat on Monday registered 661 fresh covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Monday. Also, the total number of covid-19 patients recovered and succumbed to the infection were 692 and two respectively. With this, witnessing a slight decrease, the active cases in the state were reported to be 5,862 on Monday.

Ahmedabad registered lowest positive cases of last seven days with 206 cases with no deaths on Monday and with this, the city was left with 1,931 active cases. Followed by Ahmedabad, Surat accounted for 70 positive cases and Vadodara reported 63 among others in the last 24 hours.

The tally of total number of covid-19 cases reached 12,61,922 with total 12,45,080 recoveries in the last 24 hours in Gujarat. With two deaths of covid-19 patients in Bhavnagar on Monday, the death toll in the state raised to 10,980 cases. This led the active caseload on the state to reach 5,862.

According to the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat, over 2.56 lakh doses of vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of total doses administered in the state increased to 11.89 crore on Monday.
