Covid cases in Gujarat stood at 8,338 on Tuesday. Covid numbers in the State are observing a decline. New covid cases declined to 8,338 from 9,395 reported on Monday, a dip of 1057 cases within a day.
Monday saw the daily covid deaths at 35 in the state whereas it has increased to 38 on Tuesday. These deaths were reported from Ahmedabad 8, Vadodara 3, Rajkot 2, Surat 3, and Rajkot 2.
The number of active cases in the state is 75,464. Total of 229 people in the state are on a ventilator.
While Ahmedabad city remained the biggest contributor with 2654 cases. Other major contributors include Vadodara with 1712 cases, Vadodara rural with 484 cases, Surat with 257 cases, Rajkot with 475 cases, and Gandhinagar with 223 cases. These six regions made up for 70% of the Covid cases recorded today.
