Registering almost the same number of positive Covid-19 cases as on Saturday, Ahmedabad reported 255 positive cases in the last 24 hours on Sunday. With this, the active caseload on the city reached 1,732 cases in the last 24 hours.
Gujarat reported a decrease of around 18 per cent in the daily positive Covid-19 cases than the previous day on Sunday. The state registered 546 fresh Covid-19 cases on Sunday against 668 positive cases reported on Saturday. The active cases tally in the state was 4,129 in the last 24 hours on Sunday.
Apart from Ahmedabad, Surat city registered 75 positive Covid-19 cases, 37 cases were reported from Vadodara city, 30 from Bhavnagar city, 17 from Gandhinagar city and Mehsana along with Surat reported 14-14 cases in last 24 hours on Sunday. Other districts in the state registered either lower than 15 new cases or zero cases on Sunday.
According to the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat, a total of 704 people took their first jab of Covid-19 vaccine and over 1,066 people took their second jabs in 24 hours on Sunday in the state. Also, around 7,105 people took their third/precaution dose on Sunday.
