As many as 768 fresh covid-19 cases were reported in Gujarat in the last 24 hours, with tally of total cases in the state reaching to 12,61,261 on Sunday.
The state reported recoveries of 899 covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours, with this the tally of total recovered covid-19 patients reached 12,44,388 on Sunday.
Gujarat also witnessed death of three patients – two from Rajkot and one from Surat in the last 24 hours. The death toll due to covid-19 in the state raised to 10,978 on Sunday. With this, the state is now left with 5,895 active caseload.
District-wise, Ahmedabad reported a highest of 237 new cases, followed by Vadodara with 113, Gandhinagar with 58, Mehsana 55 and Surat 68 among others.
According to the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat, over 1.17 lakh people were inoculated against covid-19 in the last 24 hours. This led the overall number of doses administered in state to 11.87 crore on Sunday.
