Taking the active cases’ toll to 1,374, Gujarat Sunday reported a total of 244 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday. Out of the total cases in the state, Ahmedabad topped the chart with 120 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, which is the fourth consecutive day for the city to report daily covid-19 positive cases above 100.
Apart from Ahmedabad, Surat reported a total of 38 new Covid-19 cases, Vadodara found 34 positive cases and Rajkot added 10 new positive cases of Covid-19 to the list on Sunday.
According to the statement released by the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat, the total number of positive covid-19 cases reached 12,27,643 on Sunday after the addition of 244 fresh cases in the last 24 hours. The state on Sunday reported discharges of as many as 131 covid-19 patients and no death of any covid patient were reported during the day, added the statement.
Meanwhile, a total of 10,937 citizens in Gujarat got their covid-19 vaccination dose on Sunday, which took the tally of the total number of people vaccinated in the state to 11.08 crore.
