The hard work of Surat police has finally payed off as a Surat court has sentenced two rapists to death in just 48 days of the incident.
Officers investigating the matter have been lauded for their exceptional performance and honoured by the Commissioner of Police today.
The court has tried to set an example in the society by imposing such strict punishment on the accused that would instill a sense of fear among the miscreants.
Here’s a list of similar cases where the accused were given life imprisonment
- November 11: Lifetime imprisonment within 29 days of incident
- December 7: Rapist sentenced to death in Surat in 10 days of incident
- December 17: Executioner of a girl murdered after a misdemeanor
- December 29: Murderer sentenced to death for committing sexual offence
The Surat Police Commissioner today honored P.I. P Chaudhary of Pandesara Police Station and his team while Sachin honored the team of P.I.D JP Jadeja of GIDC in the presence of all the senior officers. Moreover, ACP JK Pandya who supervised the four cases was also honoured.
The manner in which the verdicts came in Surat is a matter of pride for Surat Police.
