| Updated: September 26, 2022 20:40

After 14 public meetings and 6 road shows in 9 districts during 6 days, covering 14 assembly constituencies in North Gujarat, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced at the AAP headquarters in Ahmedabad that “Gujarat is looking for a complete change, after 27 years of BJP rule. People are troubled by the government. During the last 6 days I met people from different sections of society, such as farmers, agitators, government employees, traders, and common people. The people of Gujarat believe that now it’s time for a change, people have faith in Kejriwal. There will be a complete change.”

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia further said that the people of Gujarat need schools, and hospitals like they are in Delhi. He said the same development is taking place now in Punjab also. Giving the example of Palanpur he said that ” people there told us that it was a government hospital earlier, but the Gujarat government, not capable of running it, handed it over to a private one.” He also alleged that two days before the meeting in Deesa, the government school was painted from the outside but the condition inside was not good. It is an indication of changing Gujarat that people are coming forward to
show us terrible conditions of village schools-colleges.

Making an announcement on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party, which is trying to emerge as the third force in Gujarat, Sisodia said that there will be a true prohibition in Gujarat. He said at present the prohibition is on paper but a parallel system is going on. He pointed out that farmers are agitating. 36 agitations are taking place at the same time. He continued that there is a water problem in North Gujarat. Sisi=odia alleged that despite the provision in the budget, the government did not allocate 500 crores for cowsheds.

Responding to why the contract based employees were not made permanent in Delhi, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the right to appoint employees in Delhi is in the purview of the Central Government. We are fighting the case in the Supreme Court in this matter, he said. In Gujarat AAP will definitely apply, he said.

Earlier, Manish Sisodia prayed at the revered Ambaji temple on the occassion of first day of Navratri festivals. He also visited the Gaushala in Banaskantha and described the situation there as pathetic. He assured that after the formation of the AAP government, there would be no shortage of funds for the gaushala.
