Gujarat: With Mercury Soaring To 37.6 Degrees, 9th September Hottest Day In Last Four Years

Friday, September 9, was the hottest day in the last four years in Gujarat when the mercury touched 37.6 degrees Celsius.

Gujarat is generally a very hot region climatically. Yet, in the last few years, it is getting hotter every year. The maximum temperatures for the hottest month of 2021, 2020 and 2019 were 35.7 degrees, 36.7 degrees and 34.9 degrees respectively.

The temperature yesterday was 4.5 degrees above normal on the 9th of September, making it the hottest day in the last four years.

However, heavy rain is also predicted in Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Junagadh, Amreli and Gir Somnath. One hopes that man, animals and birds will breathe a sigh of relief thanks to rain.
