Gujarat:12 IPS Officers Get Transfers

Gujarat assembly elections draw near, the rounds of transfers in the police force have begun. Meanwhile, 12 IPS/SPS officers have been transferred with immediate effect by the Gujarat Government in public interest.

IPS Usha Rada, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-3, Surat City is transferred and appointed on ex-cadre post of Commandant, State Reserve Police Force, Group-11. When N.N. Chaudhary has been made Additional Commissioner of Ahmedabad Traffic Police. A.G. Chauhan has been transferred as Principal of State Police Academy Karai. RT Susra has been made Superintendent of Police,(SP) of Marine Task Force in Hazira. Mukesh Patel has been transferred as Deputy inspector General of Police C.I.D. (Crime), Gandhinagar. Komal Vyas has been appointed  Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in the Police Control Room in Ahmedabad. Kanan Desai has made DCP-Zone 4 in Ahmedabad. Bhakti Thakar has been made DCP of Zone-1 in Surat. Hetal Patel has been shifted as DCP of the Special Branch in Surat. 

According to the notification, Inspector General of Police (IGP) (Armed units), Gandhinagar, Piyush Patel was transferred as IGP (Surat range). Pinakin Parmar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Marine Task Force Commander, Gandhidham is transferred and appointed on cadre post of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-3, Surat City. Harshad K. Patel, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Control room, Ahmedabad City is transferred and appointed on vacant ex-cadre post of Superintendent of Police (M.T.), Gandhinagar. Baldevsinh Vaghela is appointed on ex-cadre post of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic (Admin), Ahmedabad City. 

However, earlier as many as 23 IAS officers of the state were transferred, including M. as Commissioner of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Thennarsan has been posted, while Dhaval Patel has been appointed as Ahmedabad Collector. As the Gujarat assembly elections draw near, the rounds of transfers in the police force have begun.
