Former sarpanch of Haldarvas village in Mehmedabad taluka, Kheda district, has filed a petition against of the state government Arjun Singh Chauhan accusing him of molesting his wife. according to the complaint, MLA Chauhan used his position as Bharatiya Janata Party’s district president and raped the ex-sarpanch’s wife on different occasions at different places from 2016 to 2021.
The former sarpanch informed the Kheda district’s Superintendent of police (SP) regarding the matter in a petition. A complaint against Chauhan has been filed. According to the complainant, Chauhan met his wife in 2015 and began inviting her for work meetings soon after. Chauhan made the sarpanch’s wife a member of Taluka Panchyat so that he could pressure her.
Chauhan allegedly molested ex-sarpanch’s wife during these meetings. He would also send her to other people. Although the wife told her husband about these incidents, she was afraid of filing a complaint because of Chauhan’s position. The MLA often threatened her and said that he could destroy her family. The wife was afraid that Chauhan would not stop and might also hurt her children.
