BJP leader Hardik Patel was forced to disable comments on Facebook as he received threat messages after he switched his political party. He has recently left Congress to join BJP, an action that forced him to turn off “comments section” at Facebook.

The state decided to provide police protection to the BJP leader seeing the constant abuse he has been receiving. 

The Patidar leader uploaded a Facebook post which was a part of a membership drive, appealing citizens to join BJP by simply giving a miss call. It contained toll free numbers with photos of major BJP leaders included in the post.
