| Updated: April 8, 2024 09:46

Temperature may touch 40 degrees in Ahmedabad on Monday

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature may rise to 40 degrees C on Monday in Ahmedabad.

IMD has given heatwave warnings in various cities. Heat and humidity will make people in coastal areas experience discomfort.

Temperature continued to rise in the city and the state, with the maximum on Sunday in Ahmedabad reaching 38.8 degrees C. At 39.5 degrees C, Bhuj had the highest maximum temperature on Sunday in Gujarat, followed by 39.1 degrees C in V V Nagar and Surendranagar.

The minimum temperature dropped to 23.8 degrees C compared to the past four days. The maximum and minimum temperatures were near normal levels.

There will be no major deviation from the existing temperatures for the next five days, according to the IMD forecast.

From April 11, parts of the state will experience light rain, including Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Dahod, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Gir Somnath, and Diu.
