His Statement Contemplates ‘Political Frustration’: Tejasvi Surya On Kumaraswamy’s Remark

| Updated: January 2, 2023 18:35

Bharatiya Janata Party leader and MP Tejasvi Surya took a swipe at former Chief Minister of Karnataka and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy on Monday, after he compared Amit Shah to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels. According to Surya, Kumaraswamy’s choice of an “unparliamentary word” reveals his “political frustration.”

“JDS Party has already become an endangered party. After polls, JDS will [become] extinct from Karnataka,” Surya said. On Saturday, Kumaraswamy used Twitter to criticise Shah while the Home Minister was in Karnataka. The former CM referred to him as a “political chameleon” and dubbed the BJP the “Bari-Bootatike Party” (a party full of hypocrisies).

“The fact that BJP-Bari Bootatike Party (A party full of hypocrisies) is a party of liars was made evident by your yapping lies. Amit Shah, you are a political chameleon! This is the true face of your party. You’re a reincarnation of Joseph Goebbels. You’re disgraceful,” Kumaraswamy tweeted.

He also criticised Shah for using the term “ATM.” Amit Shah claimed that JDS and Congress are both involved in dynastic politics and are “corrupt pirates” at a rally in Mandya.

According to Shah, while Congress reigned in the southern state, the area served as the “ATM in Delhi” for the grand old party, and when JDS was in power, Karnataka served as the ATM for the family. He made the comments as part of the ongoing “Janasankalpa Yatre” of the state BJP.

This year, elections will be held in Karnataka, and the BJP plans to run again.
