Retaining the top spot, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has been ranked as the best management institute for the sixth consecutive year in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) India Rankings 2025 released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India on Thursday.
Speaking on this achievement, Prof. Bharat Bhasker, Director, IIMA, said, “At IIMA, we remain committed to nurturing management leaders and innovators who can address the challenges of a rapidly changing world. It is a matter of great pride for us to be recognised as the best management institute in India for the sixth consecutive year by the Ministry of Education’s NIRF 2025 rankings. The NIRF provides a methodology to assess and rank higher education institutions across the country. It is based on the following broad parameters for evaluation: ‘Teaching, Learning and Resources’, ‘Research and Professional Practices’, ‘Graduation Outcomes’, ‘Outreach and Inclusivity’, and ‘Perception’.
Since the launch of the rankings, IIMA has been placed at the top position in 2017, 2018, and then again from 2020 onwards.

Ahmedabad’s CEPT University has been ranked 6th, the only private university and the only university from Gujarat, in the top 10 institutes inn NIRF 2025 in the Architecture and Planing category.
