A 29-year-old Indian-origin woman has been arrested in UK on behalf of more than 150 people in different parts of the United Kingdom between 2018 and 2020. Inderjit Kaur confessed to giving around 150 driving tests – theory and practical by charging 800 pounds each.

During a hearing in Swansea Crown Court, Kaur was found guilty of crimes in England and Wales, including in Birmingham, Carmathen, Swansea and the surrounding areas of London.

The staff at the test centers suspected that Kaur was pretending to be the real candidate when taking the exam. The investigation revealed that Kaur was providing testing services to applicants who had difficulty in English language.

Prosecutor James Hartson told the court that the driving test was to be taken only in English or sign language and that the interpreter could not accompany the test taker.

Investigating the case, Detective Chief Inspector Steven Maloney said the crimes Kaur has committed out of pure greed put people and society in general at risk by helping unskilled drivers getting licenses legally.
