IndoSpace To Invest Rs 600 Crores In Gujarat With Two Logistics Park Projects

Industrial real estate and logistics park developer IndoSpace is expanding its presence in western India with two industrial warehousing and logistics parks in Gujarat, spread over 90 acres with an investment commitment of around Rs 600 crores.

The company’s logistics parks at Becharaji and Bavla near Ahmedabad are aimed at meeting the growing manufacturing demand in Gujarat. IndoSpace Park in Becharaji, located on the outskirts of Mandal Becharaji Special Investment Zone (MBSIR), which is adjacent to state highway SH-19, and is accessible to both industrial and transit hubs.

The Logistics Park at Bavla is adjacent to the Changodar-Bagodra industrial belt on the Ahmedabad-Rajkot National Highway (NH) 47, which provides Grade A infrastructure for several large and medium industrial and warehouse developments.

“After establishing a strong presence in Chakan, Pune in the western region, we are excited to further strengthen our presence in the state of Gujarat. The state is among the important industrial centers in India today, and we aim to serve companies in the automotive sector. This includes battery electric vehicle (BEV) and BEV battery manufacturing, e-commerce and retail industries,” stated the company’s press release. According to the company, both the parks are suitable for industrial, logistic and warehousing operations and are ideal are
specially located to allow quick access to major cities of Gujarat.

Gujarat accounts for nearly a quarter of the country’s exported goods, and many global industrial developers and major businesses have their headquarters in the state. Apart from this, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Toyota are among the automotive companies located around these parks. IndoSpace has the largest network of 44 logistics parks, with 49 million square feet of distribution and development in 10 cities. The company is a joint venture between Everstone Group, an India and Southeast Asia-focused private equity and real estate investor, GLP and RealTerm, a US-based global industrial real estate conglomerate.
