IPL 2022: Clinical Gujarat Titans Reach Finals

| Updated: May 25, 2022 13:16

Few can argue that Gujarat Titans have been the best team in the IPL this season and no team has been able to look as good as them in this season so far.

It was not surprising to see Hardik Pandya led team become the first team to qualify for the IPL 2022 play-offs and that too with few games to spare.

Clinical Performance:

Gujarat Titan’s performance in the play-offs speaks volumes about the depth and kind of temperament the team has as it is not easy to chase a 180 plus score in the final stages of the tournament.

Captain Pandya:

Hardik Pandya has led the side brilliantly. His batting was always an asset for the team but the way he has come back and bowled after the injury it is nothing less than brilliant. His not out partnership with David Miller sealed Finals berth for the team.

Killer Miller:

From being ignored in the first round of the auction to being the man of the match in the playoffs, David Miller has scripted magic with his batting prowess.

After winning Man of the Match trophy, David Miller said, “I’ve been given a role and great opportunity in the Gujarat Titans. I’ve been backed a lot by them”.

Rashid Khan:

Vice Captain Rashid Khan was economical as ever as he conceded just 3.8 runs per over and contributed to the team’s win.

All eyes are now on May 29 as Gujarat Titans will be playing IPL 2022 Finals in front of home crowd in Ahmedabad at Narendra Modi Stadium with over 1,00,000 people attending it.
