Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez was today stopped at the Mumbai airport by immigration officials due to a LOC (Look Out Circular). The Enforcement Directorate has issued LOC against Jacqueline in the Sukesh Chandrasekar case.
Fernandez was supposed to travel to Dubai for a show. The sources from ED said she would be brought to Delhi for questioning.
The probe agency has filed a charge sheet in Delhi Court against a man named Sukesh Chandrasekar and others in a Rs 200 crore money laundering case. It is alleged that he embezzled Rs 200 crore from the wife of a businessman while he was lodged in Tihar Jail.
The central agency has found evidence showing financial transactions from Chandrasekhar to Fernandez. The ED said in its charge sheet that Chandrasekhar gave a gift worth ₹ 10 crore to Fernandez. It includes a horse worth ₹ 52 million and a Persian cat worth ₹ 9 million.
The alleged proceeds of the crime from Sukesh to Bollywood are still being investigated and Jacqueline is to be questioned again.
Along with Fernandez, the charge sheet also mentions dancer Nora Fatehi, who has been questioned in the case.
