Jimin Opens Up About Guilt On Weverse

| Updated: June 18, 2022 14:25

The one BTS member who is a regular with PDA for ARMY is Jimin. Not only do his posts open up about “still a long way to go,” he minces no words when it comes to pouring his heart out.

Exactly what he did in the post Friday. The singer’s post relates to what was going on in his mind during the group’s Los Angeles concert last year.

Here’s a bit of a back-grounder: “Map of the Soul” concert tour was to start in April 2020. However, it was indefinitely cancelled because of the pandemic. Eventually, it took nearly two years for BTS to be able to hold a concert with a large audience. Their comeback stage event was “Permission to Dance On Stage-LA” in November 2021.

Jimin’s post harps back to this precise time. “I felt sort of guilty the past two years. After that first day of the LA concert, I felt like I had been wronging the fans this whole time somehow since our concerts kept getting cancelled. I felt like maybe they started to lose their passion during all that time since they couldn’t see us,” he shared his concern.

“But they had been waiting unconditionally, so I really started to ask myself what I had been doing that whole time. We sang Permission to Dance and greeted ARMY at the concert but it was weird how emotional it felt despite the song being so upbeat,” Jimin added. With all four nights of the concert sold out in LA and a repeat in Las Vegas and Seoul, ARMY proved to Jimin and BTS that they waited patiently for them and nothing changed during the lockdown.
