Jindal Mobilitric (JM), a subsidiary of Jindal Worldwide, announced the establishment of an electric 2-wheeler manufacturing plant in Ahmedabad with a capacity of 2.5 lakh vehicles per year.
Additionally, JM is also setting-up an in-house fully automated battery manufacturing plant with similar production capacity.
Jindal Worldwide is the flagship company of Ahmedabad-based Jindal Group. Its product portfolio includes denim fabric, yarn dyed shirting and bottom width, as well as export-focused home furnishings.
The goal of establishing an in-house battery plant is to ensure the highest level of battery safety, which will increase consumer trust in EV products and result in faster EV adoption in India.
Likewise, JM enters the Nepal market by completing its first overseas exclusive experience centre in Kathmandu. Furthermore, JM has announced its entry into 40 cities across 10 Indian states with an exclusive dealership network.
JM aims to launch an electric 2-wheeler product line in April 2023, aimed at premium, executive, and mass segment consumers.
