Jio Institute and The Educational Collaborative for International Schools (ECIS), London have joined hands to host the ‘Middle Leader Programme’ for K-12 schools in India. This marks the first time that academic professionals in the country will have the opportunity to participate in the programme in person. The event is scheduled to take place from 10th to 14th June 2024.

The five-day residential programme is aimed at empowering school leaders at all levels, including Vice-Principals, Department Heads, Coordinators, Directors of Counselling, Activities & Athletics, among others. Participants will be equipped with essential skills to build high-performing teams, thereby improving student outcomes.

ECIS, a non-profit organisation established in 1965, provides professional development training to educators and boasts a community of over 50,000 educators across 85 countries. The programme will feature two engaging modules: Building & Leading Teams and Coaching & Leadership. Participants will learn practical strategies to foster effective teamwork, enhance communication skills and navigate complex challenges collaboratively.

The programme will be facilitated by seasoned ECIS faculty: Helen Morgan, Head of International Consultancy and Sarah Kupke, Head of Professional Learning. Both have extensive experience in the field of education and bring a wealth of knowledge to the programme.

The Middle Leader Programme will be held at the picturesque campus of Jio Institute in Ulwe, Navi Mumbai. Participants will be provided on-campus accommodation for the duration of the programme. Applications for the programme are now open. For more information about the programme, aspirants can visit the official Jio Institute website.

Last year, Jio Institute collaborated with the Principal’s Training Center to host the programme “Creating Effective Schools”, which saw participation from over 25 schools from across the country. Jio Institute continues to strive to bring internationally renowned programmes and organizations to India to help build the capacity of educators.
