Gujarat Education Minister and BJP Spokesperson Jitu Vaghani congratulated PM Narendra Modi on the historic celebration of India’s Independence day during a press conference followed by the Cabinet meeting. He also expressed his gratitude to the people of Gujarat for celebrating the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative by PM Modi.
Talking more about the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan and Independence day celebrations, Vaghani said that all 33 districts of Gujarat including government and private offices, educational institutions, religious places, historical buildings, industries, water bodies, forests, ocean, hills, and markets, celebrated August 15 with enthusiasm.
According to Jitu Vaghani, around 2400 Tiranga Yatras were held across various districts of Gujarat in which the citizens also participated. Moreover, various competitions, meetings, and programmes were organized in Gujarat’s institutions, public or private. He added, “The whole atmosphere was patriotic and full of nationalistic slogans.”
The State Minister also mentioned the poor conditions of the roads due to heavy rainfall and instructed the Gujarat Chief Secretary to immediately start the repairing process. He also talked about the safety and welfare of the people of Gujarat.
He said, “Since 2006, the Gujarat government has accepted the sentiments and demands of the employees. As per 2017 resolution, all benefits including high pay salary will be counted.”
