Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, criticised the Gujarat government for allowing drugs to be smuggled into the state on Sunday.
He reacted angrily to the Gujarat government, accusing it of driving the nation’s youth into the dark.
He took Twitter to say, “Who is bringing drugs on such a large scale in Gujarat? Who is the owner of this business? Imagine how many days you must be going out without getting caught. Is the business of drugs on such a large scale possible without the connivance of top people? You are pushing the youth of the country into darkness.”
Kejriwal tweeted this after Punjab police recovered 38 kg of heroin.
Punjab Police discovered 38 kilogrammes of heroin hidden in a truck toolbox, arriving from Gujarat on Sunday, said Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav. A tweet by the Punjab DGP mentions that the drugs were smuggled through a sea route in Gujarat. According to DGP Yadav, a foreign-based gangster named Sonu Khatri is the main mastermind behind the narcotics network.
He stated that Punjab Police detained Bittu, a native of Balachaur in the SBS Nagar district, and truck driver Kulwinder Ram. DGP Yadav added that Rajesh Kumar and Som Nath, two smugglers, had cases filed against them.
